Gwen

She gets her own post. Every once in awhile I look at her and she reminds me of someone. I am really not sure who. Not sure if it is my imagination, she just looks like Natalie, or what. I really don't know. It is on the tip on my tongue but I always feel like I won't remeber who it is. This is that look. She looks like such an older person here. And she looks like someone. I really don't think she does look like Natalie though. Ther are some simularities, but that isn't it.
She had a lot of fun, I wouldn't let her down at the park. But then we went for hot chocolate. She had lots of fun running around. Of course, she found the bathroom. What is it with this girl and the toliet? I never understood why there were saftey things for toliets. Niether of the other girls touched the toliet. Gwen finds it hilarious to try to get into it. Ugg! It will pass I am sure.

Wild Wind

It looks like a bright warm day, right? Oh not so much. It was windy and we didn't last very long. I am hoping that we get some more sunny days, maybe not so windy, that we can get out soe more. Gwen in my wrap, hard to take a picture of. She so wanted to get down and play. I went down the slide with her once.
I love that my girls love each other. Oh yes, they get at each others throats, but more often than not they play nice and love each other.
I love the smile on Natalie's face here. It isn't often that I get her not trying to be silly. THIS is Natalie. When I see this smile, I don't know it feels like it is full of joy somehow. Her quiet happiness.

I went on Natalie's pirate ship, which is more like a sub. Maybe she has seen The Big Subermarine too many times? She showed me the engine room, the galley...She is the captain, CO, of course. But they are pirates, arr! Okay, they have seen Down Periscope aso and think that is how life is on a sub.

snow and bubbles

Yes, you are seeing right, it snowed again. I am sure that most people feel this is a joyous occasion. I, however, do not. I admit that it can look pretty and the days where I don't have to worry about going places it doesn't bother me much. But still the sight of snow will never fill me with joy like the sight of the sun.
Layla playing around with my scarf. Yes, I was wearing my scarf today, I looked outside and felt brrrrrrrrrr.
The girls teaching Gwen how to play bubble breaker on the pda. This is a favorite game of theirs. They have started to play solitare and calculator, but bubble breaker is still a favorite. Layla just learned how to draw on it. I swear they know how to do more on it than I do. But then I have it mosty to read and then to play games. Jack actally bought Monopoly a few days ago and we have been playing. It's fun and there is no losing your money, or knocking down your houses:)

Tamales

So the second time we have made tamales. Last time we made meat ones, dark chocolate and peanut, not reccomended, steamed peanuts not yummy, and apricot. Apricot were really yummy! This time we set up to make a lot since they are so yummy and freeze so well. I had this, yes slightly weird, idea to make up some indian spiced meat, there is also peas, green peppers and califlower in the indian mix. They turned out very good. We didn't do many of them since we weren't really sure how they would taste. I wanted to use a garbanzo bean flour but Jack wouldn't like them. We aren't going to get to it today but we are also going to make chocolate ones and some more apricot ones. we also, just to try it, I will have to tell you how these work out, they are cooking right now, scrambled egg, cheese and sausage. We can't do flour breakfast burritos, so we will see if these work, there are only two.
Oh and yes, Layla had to be RIGHT THERE the entire time. Last time they got to help but since Natalie has rotavirus, yes again, though it doesn't seem bad at all, she wasn't allowed in the kitchen and Layla couldn't help. That wasn't cool, but we had been planning this for about a week now and Jack had off, so we kinda had to do it that way.

Weaving and sweater

Natalie has been wanting to do yarn art. She can decently crochet, but mostly with my help. And it gets a little frustrating sometimes. So we took out her weaving again. We did this awhile ago and she wasn't interested, now however she does it really well. So she gets to do some yarn work and pretty much all by herself.
And this picture was taken almost a year ago. I just finished my first sweater, yes I ran out of yarn for the sleeves, so made them a 3/4 sleeve. Layla decided to wear it today, and oddly when I went looking for the picture of when she first wore it, to see how she has grown, I found that Natalie was wearing the same shirt! A little odd. But does Layla even remotely look like she did a year ago?

More Yoga

Yes, I am aware that I cut Jack's head off. But if you read the post below, Gwen had been fussy, and she was in my lap. So imagine fussy squirmy baby and heavy camersa in the other hand...But the whole thing is just way too sweet to not blog.

Gwen decided that it looked like fun also. I think Huck was trying but decided he was too tired :)
And here you can see everyones butt BUT mine lol!

Hmmm...

Do you think that this is what Natalie sees a lot of? I admit that I have been doing a whole lot of nursing lately. Let's see, first Gwen came down with probably the worst case of constipation I have ever seen. Really, yes it was that bad. Which leads me to believe that even if all your baby wants to eat is bananas and meat, doesn't mean you should give it to them. And then she started this fever thing. It was bad. Bad enough that we actually gave our pure little Gwen red 40 artifically flavored tylenol *gasp* But it did bring the fever down. There were no other signs of anything wrong, which lead us to believe a bowel obstruction for a second. And then we realized we were really over reacting. And then starts this screaming. Oh the fussy fussy Gwen. She is still keeping me up at night. Not because she is screaming but because everytime she moves I think she is going to scream. I am scared to go to sleep. So the third thing showed up, a tooth. The cause of the screaming. And then the fever broke and my baby was covered in lovely spots. Oh such lovely spots. I love those red spots, because those red spots mean infantum roseola, which is what I suspected, after day 3 of the fever...
Anyway, because of the constipation, the fever and the screaming totally no solids. I drank horrid tea to increase my milk supply, doubled my breast size by the way, and Gwen now has newborn baby poop, mustard yellow complete with seeds. So while Natalie decided to play on her lap top, she needed to go get her baby to nurse while she typed, cuz that is what you do while you type. Good to know I am teaching her good one handed typing skills.
And after dinner I will post more yoga pictures. Natalie has decided that she wants to be an exercise instructor when she gets older. Mostly teaching yoga. So here she is looking at her flash card style yoga cards and showing Layla how to do them. The post will be before this one when i get around to doing it, but umm totally worth waiting for since it is Jack learning how to do yoga :)
