Fairy Festival

So we went to the Fairy Festival in Tacoma today. We were worried at first. It was small. Yes, it was small. I spent two days trying to make the girls dresses. Jack actually made Natalie's, well, I still made her skirt, but he did the other part. And this is going to be out of order since all the pictures I wanted to get on here won't fit...
So we went. At first not so cool. There were some neat things to look at. Natalie did some crafts there. Layla was a little on the moody shy side today.
The costumes, well minus the wings/shawls...I have to say that they decorated amazingly.
We went out for lunch. We happened to go by a Hawaiian grill. He looked and just walked right in. "They have loco moco...." And I lost him, he didn't respond to anything I said. But yeah, I then saw that they had kalua pork, and I was sold:) So we got us some plate lunch with two scoop rice.
Layla eating her meat
Natalie eating hers. They did eat some rice, but mostly meat. Plate lunch. Oh Jack did get his loco moco. The guy who was cooking said, it's going to be like 10 minutes, is that alright? I told him that Jack has been waiting 2 years, 10 minutes isn't that much. The guy gave him a double loco moco. For those who haven't been to Hawaii, a loco moco is two scoop rice, a hamburger, gravy and egg. So he got rice, two hamburgers , gravy and two eggs. By the way we have leftovers. We thanked them insanely for some good memories. They played Hawaiian music and reeally it was just an awesome place.
There was a costume contest. This is what I am going to make for him for next time. Don't you think Jack would look hot in that?

Natalie entered. Again Layla was being shy, she stood with me. And Natalie won. Yes, with a dress made by Jack and I, she won! They wanted to see some fair attitude and Natalie gave them a dance that even the older kids, it was for 12 and under, couldn't beat. They also said that they liked her hair. Not bad for throwing it together, eh?

Happy Birthday!!!

My little Gwen!
We had angel food cake last night topped with whipped cream. Yeah, maybe boring, but Gwen didn't care. In fact, I am notsure if she had more that a taste. She did have her share of indian food though. I guess if you aren't old enough to talk your sisters get to pick out your birthday dinner. Gwen does like indian though and she wasn't complaining. We stripped her down for cake. I just noticed in this picture you can actually see her bottom teeth and where her top ones are coming in. Right before she dumped it...
And it is on the table. I am pretty sure that Huck was very happy with her.

Oh and the mess behind Gwen...well we had a clothes swap with our mom's group. We scored big time. Thank you again so much Amy!!!! The girls wanted to dress Gwen up all day. She got a new swimsuit that I will have to post a picture of soon. It is way too sweet on her.

Meat!!!

So Gwen went from wanting our food, and not wanting to actually eating it, to eating our food and getting constipated to eating whole bunches of meat. That is a hunk of ham on a fork. you know Layla was good at utensil use, but Gwen? Wow. It sactually amazing watching her eat. She will use a spoon or a fork and only after she gets tired, she eats a good bit now, will she start to use her fingers. Anyway. So last night we were eating I put some sweet taters and broccoli on a plate for her. She was happily eating that until she saw our ham. So I was cutting up little pieces for her and she took a hunk of mine and tried to shove it in her mouth. So Jack gets to to cruise over to him by putting a hunk on the fork, she grabs for it and just starts gnawing. She shook with effort to pull ham off of it. And she actually got a good bit. Kinda scary to watch, really it was like watching a monster eat. Jack said that we should just start her on bunnies, she wouldn't even mind the fur.
See the problem we are going to have with two meat eaters in the house? See those looks?

Can't post a picture of this

Yeah, I can't so sorry for the non picture post again.
So I am searching for non bake non dairy cheesecake, yeah I have a problem. It doesn't help that Jack had some of my cheesecake last night and said that it was really good. It helps when you make something that is good. You want to keep making it. So I am nursing Gwen, turned around a little. The girls are quiet. Gwen pops off and crawls away. I turn around and Layla is wearing just her undies getting massaged by Natalie. Natalie is wearing an apron with her massage oil, yes she is using real massage oil, in an apron pocket. She is wearing a button that she got at some fair that says "Ask me if I have washed my paws" Layla has so much oil on her that, well, she has a lot of oil on her. But really, there is nothing wrong with what they are doing. Natalie is making sure she doesn't get oil on the floor.
Oh by the way, it isn't Natalie and Layla anymore. Layla told me today that she doesn't like her name. That kinda hurt. I mean I really like Layla's name. She told me she wants to be called Ellie. Her baby has been Ellie for a long time. So I am figuring it is kinda her playing pretend. I hope that we don't have to change her name. So Layla is Ellie. Natalie decided that she wants to be called Tullah. So it is actually Tullah massaging Ellie. They tried to change Gwen's name, I stopped that. They are not changing Gwen's name. Well, Tullah is now washing the oil off of Ellie so maybe she will be able to put her clothes back on.

Woohooo news!

I had my orthodontist appointment today. I have another appointment in four weeks. It is my hmm we are most likely ready to debond appointment. If everything is well then I may have an appointment very shortly after to get my braces off. I am trying to not jump up and down. It is more than a month away. But really I have had braces now since September of 2005. It has been awhile. I am more than done. So wish me luck that these last few weeks go quickly. My first food as soon as my teeth don't feel wiggly, I have heard that happens, is going to be almond roca. I have been craving it since getting pregnant with Gwen. It kills me every time I see it at the store. I want almond roca.

Natalie's lack of teeth...

But you can actually see here her adult teeth coming in:) She lost her other one. The tooth fairy came and left one earring. Natalie rightly assumed that she would get the other one if she lost the other tooth. She played with it for a few days and got it out. We were actually really happy to see it out because my ortho said that it might need to be pulled. Natalie still doesn't fear the dentist and I would like to keep it that way.
These are in poor order. So Jack's mom sent Natalie a card for her birthday. It got sent back. We just got it a couple of days ago. Natalie had been wanting something at Target. So I told her that we could go get it with her birthday money. She wanted exercise clothes. She really likes exercise.
This is the picture Natalie took of her earrings that the tooth fairy got her.
A picture of Natalie with her new earrings.
Jack pierced Natalie's eyebrow. She was not amused. Sometimes, the looks they give us, well...
