I am sitting here eating guacamole and cheese, that is what Layla calls it:) Listening to a conversation outside my window. Hey, it is nice enough to have windows open. I can only hear one side of the conversation though, my girls talking to the giirl who lives in the apartment up from us.
They are sitting there, eating their guacamole and cheese telling this girl about the game they were playing, introducing themselves and about every other thime, "why don't you come play with us?" This girl won't tell them her name and just keeps walking away at odd times. I don't know why she isn't coming down. If I remember right she is older than Natalie. I could be wrong though. If it were my kid I would be shooing them out the door to go meet new people. So, anyone want to tell me that homeschoolers are anti-social? My girls are alright striking up a conversation with just about anyone, from birth to well, pretty old.
And by the way, the game they made up was really cute! I didn't get to hear all of it, but the trees back there are evil kid treehouses. And on our balcony is a dead spider where they can go and refill their powers to run from the monsters in the trees. This is where there is a problem though, Natalie says that there is a door for those monsters to get out, Layla disagrees. I love them and their imagination. No pictures, think of it as a test of your imagination, watching my girls running, hugging trees and eating guacamole and cheese.

Taking lessons from Huck...
Been too long
I think this may be the longest I have gone since I started up again. I am sorry. I
won't even say I have been busy. No excuse. There have been things going on, and definitely things to write about, but...
So Natalie lost another tooth. The tooth fairy had to work hard to find something for her this time. This may get hard if she keeps losing them so quickly:) She now has a
middle tooth. She thinks it is pretty funny. Her top tooth is already coming in. I believe her other one is coming in also, her teeth are all pushed out.

a cake I made for a pregnant friend...

and that pregnant friends hennaed belly. This is the second belly I have hennaed. I am not that great, but I am decently proud of this. It isn't easy and you know when you have kids all around you, it really isn't easy. I didn't get a picture before we started sealing it, covering it with watered down glue. The picture on top was actually taken by Natalie. She caught a few really good pictures. My little photographer:)

Forgot
I meant to put this here. It was kinda funny and yet, not really at all. Jack, the very wonderful husband, got some chocolate to I guess keep me sane during all this sickness? Okay, no he got dark chocolate, I think he got it for him. We also had some dried mangos. These were both on the counter when we left for a little bit yesterday. There was also a pan of what was supposed to be banana nut bread. This did not turn out. Yeah, my stuff still doesn't turn out all the time. Very frustrating. So we left, we came home. HE ATE THE CHOCOLATE!!! Grrr!!! Doesn't he know that it is so bad for him? And the amount he ate. So we are keeping an eye on him. He has eaten chocolate before, but you know, Huck is getting old. I am not sure why it has never bothered him, but still when you see how much he eats...Anyway, he ate the chocolate. He got the mangos down, but thank goodness, he didn't eat them. I may have had to hurt him. And the pan of what was supposed to be banana bread, really I can't even say it was banana bread, it really is just what was supposed to be banana bread, was down on the floor, empty. So, I thought well at least the dog liked it. We went about our day and then that night Jack was getting the girls in bed. And he yells out to me, we need to wash the girls sheets. Why? So Natalie and him come out of the room with handfuls of what looks like cat throw up. I was like gross!! Get something to clean that up!
But no, it wasn't cat throw up. It was what was supposed to be banana bread. Even my dog wouldn't eat it. But then he didn't eat the mangos either, and everyone knows that mangos are good. But yeah, the what was supposed to be banana bread, umm, not so good.

all three of them
So in the last post I said that Gwen was sick, right? Well a few days after that, Laylaspent almost all day in bed. And then Natalie. It is so much easier when the older ones get it. Gwen is still sick but the older ones are doing much better. I can say though that this past week has been very not fun. I was doing two loads of laundry a day just to keep up with diapers, the steam cleaner never got put away and the dishes, oh the dishes...And they weren't even that hungry. Jack was home for a
little bit yesterday, we have the house looking a bit better now. So here are some pictures, some older, but I just hadn't gotten around to putting them up yet.
This is Layla with puff sleeves. They love Anne of Green Gables. If you have seen the movie Anne wants puff sleeves. So the girls go around stuffing play silks into their dresses so they can have puff sleeves. It kinda makes them look like football players, but if they ever show you just tell them that their puff sleeves are beautiful, okay? They love them and the looks on their faces when they do this...well it is too cute.

Natalie using my pouch to hold her baby. She has her in a nice cradle hold. I was pretty impressed as I didn't help her at all. She also never really saw me use a cradle hold, I usually do a hip carry with Gwen. She was holding her baby so sweetly.

And who needs a highchair? Really? Gwen just sits on the table to eat. Right in the middle of the rest of us eating so she can pick what she wants from the rest of our plates. Yeah, her table manners may not be great, but she is really cute. You know Huck loves her.

Kick on in now second wind
except I am sure I have more than 2 more hours to go.
Gwen started throwing up on Sunday. I think it was Sunday. It was sometime. I am tired. She seems to have mostly stopped throwing up, though every time she burps I kinda get scared. But she is still really fussy and I don't think we are done yet. Jack commented before he left for work today that he didn't sleep much because of her crying, so he is sure that I feel like crap. He would be correct. Right now I am just thankful that no one else is throwing up. Gwen hasn't gotten dehydrated, so that is good. But I know she is pretty miserable. It is hard when they are this sick this young, ya know? She is usually such an upbeat little baby, I have really been missing her smiles, laughs and yes her jokes. Those of you with little one year olds know the jokes I am talking about. They think they are so funny, but they are. And now my baby gets so tired that she crawls into my lap and just falls asleep without nursing even.
So here is where I need a second , third, fourth, fifth wind I am sure. Not so much for this sickness, we will catch up on sleep soon i am sure. But for the two week quarantine that went into effect yesterday. We don't know for sure this is rotavirus, but we are treating it like it is. So that means making sure that my slobbery baby doesn't slobber on something and give this to someone else. That makes things hard on me, and mostly the girls. No pool for two weeks.
Please pray that I do not go insane.
