So, someone pointed out an article to me today. It was about this man http://noimpactman.typepad.com/blog/ I thought it was awesome. But something really irked me about the article. It said something about Oh MY GOD he doesn't even use toilet paper. So I thought I would show off my wonderful wipes. We started using cloth wipes when we were ecing Layla and Natalie was potty learning. So about 2 and a half years ago. What prompted this decision? Well those of you who have tried to wipe the poop off a toddlers butt should know. I have to say that it may have been the most disgusting thing I have seen. It is about impossible to really clean yourself with paper. And that was with her touching her toes and me being able to see everything, so how well do you think you get yourself clean??? Hmmmm?
Yes, maybe I have been a mommy for too long to not know any better than to talk about poop in front of others. But the way the article sounded I just had to go off a little. I mean really, I am slightly disgusted by those who use toilet paper. So, I have decided to stop being embarrassed by the discussions my girls have in public bathrooms, "Mom, why don't they have wipes? Paper is gross" Oh it usually is a big conversation EVERY time we go in a public bathroom.
I was thinking about starting a new blog about the ways we are trying to live more naturally and simply, but really this half started as a way to show our girls to leave as little footprints as we can on this world. So, it does belong here. So every so often I think I will post something about the way we live.

My Hero! ;p
Haha...really, it's so nasty when I have to use paper on Adeline. Why on earth would I want to subject myself to that as well? Brett snuck in a TP purchase last night--grrr, but he did say if I would give D&D a chance then he would rethink his personal tp habits. :)
HA!!!
See someone doesn't think I am nuts:)Really I think everyone should give it a try for a week.
okay...this is probably asking for TMI...but doesn't doing the laundry after guests come kinda gross you out? I'm all okay with my own germs, and my husband's and Eve's...but not so much my girlfriend's 7 yo boy, ya know?
Glad to hear you'll be posting about your natural living choices. It will definitely be an education for me, since about the only natural thing I do is make my own yogurt.
And totally belatedly, CONGRATS on Gwen! She is gorgeous!! You are so blessed to have those beautiful girls.
We actually have toliet paper for guests, if they choose to use it, just like we have paper kleenex. But no, really I have thought long and hard about it and it doesn't really bother me. I have faith in my washer and dryer. And I never actually touch the dirty wipes as they are in a plastic bin type thing and I just toss it into the washer.
