Natalie was never good at the nap thing. I think she got confused over being hungry and being tired. So it was often I got pictures like this one. She fell asleep eating a lot. It reminds me though that she wasn't always the skin and bones she is today. She did get a little chubby at one point.
Those of you who get to see Layla now have seen this shirt. It is Layla's favorite, and it was Natalie's favorite. Looking back on Natalie pictures we see how much Layla and Natalie really look alike, you just need to change out the hair. Wasn't she adorably cute? Yes, she still is, but now she is more of a grown up cute.
My multi-tasker:) Sweeping the lanai and talking on the phone. See, she likes to wear leggings with her dresses just like Layla does now. What can I say, my girls have extraordinary fashion sense.
This was at the pineapple plantation. A real great trip for those going to visit Oahu. I have a great picture of typical Natalie from that day, but I like this one too. She just found a boy, probably around 6 or 7 and decided that he was going to be her friend. So she held his hand and followed him around until his parents had to go. But that is my Natalie, she loves to make new friends and isn't shy. In fact, I can thank her for helping me get out of my shyness. Of course, I had no choice, when your daughter goes up to anybody and everybody and starts conversation, you look funny if you don't also talk to them:)

I hear you. When I left Hawaii I was like "good f-ing riddance" and then I learned that there are assholes everywhere and that home's never really home once you've moved away.
I think that realization has really helped me cope with life. That and the right medication. ;)
