Pregnant with Natalie, Crooked River State Park. We were able to get the pictures off the old computer and you know when you go through old pictures, well, you know. Crooked River was so nice. And oddly, I miss the 90 degrees 90 percent humidity. The sun shined, it felt like a different world when you stepped outside. One thing I don't really miss, is looking for snakes when we went walking:) The spanish moss was so beautiful. Jack got some nice pictures of me. We had totally forgotten that these pictures were taken. I had thought that we didn't have any pictures of me pregnant with her. These were actually taken on our third anniversary:)
Looking out our front window. I miss the HEAVY rains. This was a particularly nasty tropical storm. I just made it home from work. Jack had called the shelter and told me not to come home because he figured I wouldn't be able to make it up the driveway. I almost didn't. There is about 2 feet of water on the road there.
The litters of kittens I fostered. This is the first actual litter, out of three. The mamma's name was actually Layla:) I named most of the animals at the shelter. When we found out she was pregnant we all cried and then I said I would take her home, I couldn't put her to sleep. And that started me taking all the litters home to take care of.
The funny thing...Layla was actually tandemed nursed. She was brought in with a litter, all were adopted out except Chubs, who at 6 months was still nursing, the only one of her litter that was still nursing. And then after a month there we realized that it wasn't extra weight from her previous pregnancy, she was pregnant again. We separated her from her kitten, who got along just fine afterwards and was adopted quickly. And then the morning I went in and saw her with her kittens I brought them home. Umm, Jack was at sea, and he did have a surprise when he came home...But he took it well. We named all of her kittens after the star wars movie that had come out recently. She was quite a trooper, more than once a ferocious kitten bite through her nipple.

Those are beautiful pictures Valerie.
I had a cat who had litter after litter of kittens. We kept one of her kittnes, Sonny, and he nursed through several litters. Even when he was full grown he was still nursing. Those cats were nuts.
You looked so beautiful and feminine in those pregnancy pics! Yay for having some. :)
