Jack is brewin, I am not sure if that is the correct word, port. We got some cheap port in our trying of different things. It was pretty good. So this is Jack's first venture into wine. I am currently drinking some fresh made ginger ale. Yummy. And isn't he so manly to brew and babywear? I have to admit that when I saw it I was slightly worried for my new carrier, he is working with grape juice...but no drops:)

I love that he brews!! Tom doesn't drink, but we brew Yeast Root Beer and love it.
Right now we use Root Beer "extract" from the spice aisle at the grocery, but someday I hope to figure out how to make our own flavoring. It's so much fun to experiment when you brew your own stuff. Plus, I don't mind Eve drinking "soda" when it's got organic unbleached sugar instead of HFCS.
Yep, we used that once also. I got Jack some sassafrass root from mountain rose herbs. So he is going to actually make REAL rootbeer. I am excited. We feel the same way about not feeling bad about drinking our soda. It really isn't too bad and I think we are going to start experimenting with other things also. When i saw how he made the ginger ale, I mean all it really is, is sweetened ginger tea, with yeast of course. So i started thinking about other teas we can carbonate, lol. We have also been using our organic sugar we got at Costco. And some honey that we got from central market, so we feel much better about these things:)

Real men wear babies! Or, Real Men wear babies while brewing!! I think that's great. Hopefully, you have some fresh brew when we come in - can't wait to try some sodas.
