Deodorant and gardening

I made deodorant yesterday. Yep, this is my deodorant, vodka, and eo's. I changed my recipe this time. I am trying for a lighter summer scent, lemon, lavender and bergamont. I am so loving my lemon eo. I think it smells quite nice. I have a smaller bottle to put it in now, so I get to change my scent sooner now. I am excited to have so many different eos to chose from now

And we finally started our garden. We actually slightly redid the compost. Okay, more than redid it. See, I helped Jack roll out some wire, we held it around it, it needed to be bigger is why. And then, my side collapsed. So Gwen was ever so sweet to sit in her swing while Jack and I shoveled compost back into the bin.







We planted cabbage, green beans, broccoli and cucumbers. We already have strawberries going and of course we have potatoes. The girls helped a lot, didn't you know that to garden you have to wear a nice dress and skirts and such?


Jack moving oh so fast away from Layla when she started watering. And yes, he really did have to move that fast because she did almost spray him, badly. Layla starts spraying as soon as she grabs the hose. It was a little funny, of course probably only because I was pretty far away and not in danger.

And a picture of all of them afterwards. Jack didn't want to take a picture like this since we all did the work, but Gwen can't hold a camera yet. And by the time she can, she will be put to work. So, the blue is our strawberries, the blue bin is our potatoes, the green bins are the broccali and cucumbers, the window pots are the cabbage and the clear is our green beans. We plan of staking the vines of the cucs and the beans. Wish us luck, the last time we planted a garden the dogs ate it:(
